Established in 1990.
La huasteca is being a preferred eating place in Newark community since 1990 until now.

Owner

Chef owner Rafael began working in five star Hotel in Mexico. Cuban and Spanish Restaurants in Miami FL. Hayes Mansion Conference Center in San Jose CA. Classic Residence by Hyatt i Palo Alto, Faz Restaurant in Sunnyvale, Sous Chef at the University of San Jose and got his Hospitality Management Certificate at Mission College in Santa Clara CA.

  A devout fan of Mexican food, I don't rank taco joints lightly. They're judged with the strictest criteria. Each salsa presented (and there are at least 6) have distinct and fantastic flavors. As for the spicy green salsa, whatever you do. Incredible. And...I highly recommend the fish taco plate. Typical taco joint atmosphere - top level food. You definitely don't need to go to the Mission to get good Mexican food, my friends.

  Best super steak burrito in a 15 mile radius. Get the tortilla grilled and your rockin'. I bribe people with these burritos all the time.

  This is my favorite little place for home cooked food. I only order Chilaquiles because they can't be found anywhere else. The people here are so nice and it's always busy. Their tacos de camarones a la diabla are excellent as is their al pastor.
